After getting his BS in Engineering from Taibah University in 2013 Sultan began working in the water sector helping to supply high-quality drinking water to his hometown. Five years of this work developed his interest in further education, and he obtained his Master’s degree in Environmental Science from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia in 2020. Now on his doctoral journey, Sultan is helping lead the effort to determine the suitability of crayfish as a monitoring organism for 6PPD-Q. He brings to the project a deep interest in education and community engagement and his dissertation work will include assessments of public awareness of aquatic pollutants, including 6PPD-Q. In summary, Sultan is a passionate environmental
scientist interested in instigating positive changes within the global environmental community.
