Abbie was raised in Bear Lake County, Idaho where she worked at Minnetonka Cave as a tour guide and manager for three summers. She has always always loved being outdoors, and therefore developed a strong passion for protecting the environment. Because of this, she is seeking bachelor’s degrees from the University of Idaho in environmental science and philosophy. She is also in the Vandal Marching Band and is president of the UI Society for Conservation Biology. For this research project, she helps with sampling, data collection, lab tasks, and website development. She enjoys hiking, walking, playing music, and reading in her free time.
